Beanstalk

Torrentino has been sitting there for a while now. I'm in desperate need of a offshore host (preferable the Netherlands!). If you have any offers, please leave a comment.

I don't know whats wrong with people and the grudge they have against torrents. The torrent files do not contain anything incriminating. Sure, some of them may point to 'illegal' or copywritten material but the files don't contain shit all.

</rant>

Anyway, I'm just setting up some local servers, getting things organized.

Thinking of buying either a UPS or a new switch. Ideas?

New server

Bought some stuff from the Canonical store recently, supposedly it'll take anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks. Awesome.

I took down all my local servers and building one larger one. For the last 8 hours or so, I've been trying to get it to work but no luck. Alright, check this out: Install Debian on HDD. Try to boot => instant restart. Back to the BIOS.
Like WTF?

Ticketto - semi finished

I coded Ticketto in around 5 hours. You can check it out here: http://jroppie.co.cc:45/ticketto/ and try logging in with 'test' and 'test' respectivly. Also, check out the admin panel: http://jroppie.co.cc:45/ticketto/adminby using 'admin' and 'admin' for the username/password.

For those that don't want to check it out, Ticketto is a simple support ticket system. Users/client signs up, picks department and creates a ticket. Admin signs in, answers ticket and set status of ticket to closed, answered, etc. More features are planned ;)
Anyway, if anyone wants the source, just leave a comment.

Same shit, different day

I've been looking for a reliable 'offshore' [web] hoster to host Torrentino. If you have any offers, I'd be pleased to hear 'em.

Work has come to a halt, I guess I've just been tired. Ticketto is still..very beta. Maybe I'll FTP a working version somewhere a bit later. WorkSimple 1.3.0 hasn't been completed. Or maybe it as...I can't remember.

Satelite has been out for a bit, too lazy to fix it so I've just been watching House (the show, not the noun...or whatever).

Considering there has been little to none for comments, I guess there will be no free domain contest.

Anyway, as usual comments are appreciated (I don't get enough!)

PHP Support Ticket System

Ticketto (rhymes with Geppetto) is new project I started today; it's based on mail (MailX) so the foundation is already there. A client can create a support ticket in different departments and view the response from staff/admin/whatever. Admins can have seperate departments, so three admins three departments.

The client will also have their own area for other stuff (I'm working on it.)

Anyway, it's Sunday so I'll be watching some TV (if the satelite isn't out still).

Torrentino and the MPAA

Opened Gmail this morning, expecting a couple of crap emails; the usual. But no, an email from my web hoster (HostGD). They recieved an email from the MPAA (read here) and forwarded it to me. 12 hours or my account will be terminated....

Long story short, I put up a temp page for Torrentino. Hopefully I'll find a cheap offshore web host to host Torrentino on.

Comments are appreciated ;)

Troubles

So, we moved 4Box Hosting to a new server (since it was on the clients server) the other day. The WHMCS SQL DB imported fine. But what else did I miss? The email forwarders. Great. Even the email accounts weren't set up. So for the last couple days we haven't received any emails, only those from from WHMCS cronjobs.

No orders on Nojde either, I wasn't expecting any. I'll have to build some sort of CP where customers can change what jobs they have running, if they need to remove/add more, etc. Right now its based on one single form which is very effecient.

I was planning on setting up Openfire on one of my servers and clustering them....but I don't really use Jabber/XMPP (though I should).
